Taiwan’s Automobile Production Bases and Results in H1 2025

Taiwan’s automobile production in the first half of 2025 decreased by 18.2% year-on-year to 118,294 units. Although several new models were launched, uncertainty over whether the excise tax exemption measure on automobiles would be extended led consumers to wait and see and refrain from purchasing, resulting in sluggish sales of domestic cars and a decrease in production.
