BYD: Recent Business Trends and Sales Results in H1 2025

BYD has set a sales target of 5.5 million vehicles for 2025, up 30% from the previous year. Factory shipment of passenger vehicles (substituting sales data released by China’s automotive industry association CAAM) for the first six months of 2025 were 2,113,271 units, up 31.5% from the same period last year, representing 38.4% progress against the annual target. Looking at data by powertrain, shipments of PHEVs increased 23.7% to 1,089,890 million units, and those of BEVs went up 40.9% to 1,023,381 units. By brand and series, sales of the Dynasty series and the Ocean series rose by 28.3% to around 1,948,000 units, while sales of the Fangchengbao brand increased 3.3 times to 60,746 units, but sales of the Yangwang brand nosedived 81.8% to 1,003 units.
