Asia’s motorcycle sales increased 7.0% compared to the previous year to 28,215,666 units in 2021 (covering India, Pakistan, six ASEAN countries [Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore] and Taiwan. The world’s largest motorcycle market India inched up 1.4% to 14,469,514 units while sales in ASEAN increase 15.6% to 11,100,736 units. Although sales rose compared to the previous year, when it fell over 24% due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus infection, the pace of recovery is slow and it has not returned to the pre-corona level.
