Automobile Production Bases of the Philippines

In July 2026, Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signed the Electric Vehicle Incentives Scheme (EVIS) into law. Boasting a total budget of 60 billion PHP, the program supports the local manufacturing of electrified vehicles (including BEVs and HEVs) by offering a maximum subsidy of 30 billion PHP per automaker. While the government had been weighing a successor program for internal combustion engine vehicles called RACE at the beginning of 2025, it ultimately pivoted its policy support entirely to electrified vehicles in response to rapid industry shifts.
