Aftersales Service of Chinese Automakers in Thailand

In recent years, Chinese OEMs, mainly BEV manufacturers, have been increasing their presence in the Thai automobile market. In 2024, the sales volume (new vehicle registrations data released by the Department of Land Transport) of the top six Chinese brands in Thailand, BYD, MG, Neta, GWM, Changan, and GAC, decreased by 16.8% from the previous year to 72,000 units, but their market share increased by 1.1 points to 12.0% due to the contraction of the total market. However, due to the emphasis on launching new products ahead of other brands, the development of spare parts supply networks has been lagging, so Chinese OEMs are trying to improve their after-sales service systems.
