Pakistan Motorcycle Market Analysis for H1 2026

Pakistan’s motorcycle sales (data covers PAMA members only) experienced a sharp recovery in 2025, surging 33.8% year-on-year (YoY) to 1.7 million units. Strong demand has persisted into 2026, with sales for the first five months rising 28.4% YoY to 852,000 units. Escalating Middle East conflicts triggered a gasoline price hike in April 2026, pushing the consumer price index up by over 10% YoY. However, supported by an IMF program and aggressive fiscal austerity measures, the Pakistani rupee has stabilized, easing debt crisis anxieties and foreign exchange reserve shortages. While total motorcycle sales in 2026 are on track to potentially surpass the historical record of 1.85 million units, any renewed flare-up in Middle East tensions risks dampening the economic recovery through subsequent fuel price hikes and inflationary pressures.
