Thailand’s Automobile Sales Results in the First Half of 2024

Thailand’s automobile sales in the first half of 2024 decreased significantly to 308,000 units, down about 100,000 units from the same period last year (announced by Thai Automotive Industry Association). The main reason for the decline in sales is that automobile loan screening requirements have not been relaxed. In addition, the economy has slumped, with public investment decreasing due to delays in preparing the fiscal year 2024 budget, and exports dropping due to a decline in external demand.
