Thailand’s Automobile Sales in H1 2025

In the first half of 2025, automobile sales in Thailand decreased by 1.7% from the same period last year to 302,694 units, according to the Thai Automotive Industry Association. After household debt increased due to rising inflation in 2022, the market has continued to shrink, especially for the country’s most popular vehicle type one-ton pickups, driven by stricter auto loan screening. Meanwhile, there are signs that the decline has bottomed out, as it remains small compared to the same period in 2024 (down 24.2%).
