Overview of the Philippines’ EV Charging Infrastructure

In the Philippines, charging infrastructure development is lagging. As of June 2024, there were only 161 charging stations in operation, which is far behind the major ASEAN regions. The government’s target is 7,400 locations by 2028, 21,400 locations by 2034, and 41,700 locations by 2040. However, at the current pace, it will be difficult to even achieve the 2028 target.
