The Philippines’ Automobile Sales by Segment in 2022

Automobile sales in the Philippines increased by 24.2% year-on-year to 364,371 units in 2022, recovering to 90% of the pre-coronavirus 2019 level. The top seven brands (Toyota, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Isuzu), which accounted for 86.9% of the market sold 316,681 units. Strong sales in 2022 were driven by the lifting of social restrictions which were in place in 2020 and 2021 due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
