Indonesia’s Automobile Sales Results in the First Half of 2024

Indonesia's automobile sales (wholesale basis) in the first half of 2024 decreased by 19.4% from the same period last year to 408,012 units. Rising interest rates, a weak national currency, and stricter lending regulations have all weakened demand. On a monthly basis, although the rate of decline has slowed, it has remained below the same month of the previous year for 12 consecutive months from July 2023 to June 2024.
