2024 Vehicle Sales of Indonesia

In 2024, automobile sales in Indonesia declined by 13.9% from the previous year to 865,723 units (wholesale), dropping for the second consecutive year and falling below 1 million units for the first time in three years. The decline is due to a growing mood of holding back on purchases due to the uncertain outlook for the domestic political system, and stricter credit screening triggered by an increase in non-performing loans.
