Since drive batteries are core components of electric vehicles, they are gaining increasing attention against the backdrop of the rapid growth of the Chinese electric vehicle market. Looking at trends related to electrification parts (cells and packs) in China, there are many cases in which European automakers are increasing their local production capacity of drive batteries. Meanwhile, foreign automakers are increasingly procuring parts from Chinese automakers including CATL.
