Nissan Motor's automobile sales in China decreased 5.2% year-on-year to 1,381,494 units in 2021, declining for the second consecutive year (announced by Nissan Motor, including the Nissan, Venucia and Infiniti brands). Sales of the Nissan brand declined 9.2% to 1,041,913 units, dropping below 1.1 million units for the first time in five years. Nearly all Infiniti brand models saw a drop in sales. Total demand went down 48.5% to 14,817 units, falling below 20,000 units for the first time in eight years. The Venucia brand went up 2.0% to 81,858 units. Although almost all models declined in 2021, The Venucia Xing, launched in 2020, increased 20% and the Venucia Big V, released in 2021, added over 10,000 units to the total.
