India’s Automobile Market Projection for 2025

The Indian automobile market in 2024 is expected to reach a record high of 5.2 million units, an increase of 2.4% (up 120,000 units) from the previous year, marking an historic high the third consecutive year. Demand for compact SUVs with an overall length of less than 4.0m expanded further, the market continuing to grow. On the other hand, the sales volume of sedans and hatchbacks decreased in inverse proportion, and there is a possibility that market growth will slow down from 2025 onward, declining from the previous year.
