The Philippines’s 2025 Automobile Sales by Segment

Automotive sales in the Philippines in 2025 showed mixed results depending on the segment. The best-selling midsize / large SUV segment expanded by 9.0% year-on-year to 79,000 units, boosted by incremental sales from new models. Small MPVs also grew by 11.6% year-on-year to 73,000 units, driven by increased sales of models like the Toyota Avanza, hitting a record high for the fourth consecutive year. On the other hand, declines were seen in B-segment vehicles (down 24.1% to 65,000 units), small SUVs (down 5.5% to 59,000 units), and one-ton pickups (down 10.4% to 58,000 units). In all cases, a primary factor was demand shifting to other segments.
