Malaysia’s Automobile Market in 2025

In 2025, Malaysia’s automobile sales rose 0.2% year-on-year to 821,000 units, marking a fourth consecutive record high and overtaking other ASEAN nations in sales volume for the first time. Income growth driven by economic expansion fueled demand; however, growth slowed significantly, with the volume increase totaling only 1,979 units.
