Nissan Motor’s Sales Slightly Increases to 1.37 Million Units in 2019

Nissan Motor’s vehicle sales in China fell 1.1% year-on-year in 2019 to 1.54 million units, dropping below the previous year's level. Nissan failed to achieve its 1.6 million-unit target for 2019 but its rate of decline of 8.2% was lower compared to the drop of the overall Chinese automobile market. Nissan Motor announced the “DFL TRIPLE ONE PLAN” in February 2018, planning to sell 2.6 million units annually including the Dongfeng brand by 2022. The automaker set its full-year 2020 target at 1.6 million units in January 2020. But sales in in the first month of the year declined 11.8% mainly due to the negative impact of the new coronavirus.
