Overview of Lebanon’s Automobile Market in 2023

Automobile sales in Lebanon decreased by 4.7% from the previous year to 22,745 units in 2023. Lebanon’s vehicle market remained at around 50,000 units from 2014 to 2017, but due to the economic crisis triggered by the currency collapse, it shrank to around 13,000 units in 2020 and 2021. Although demand recovered to around 23,000 units in 2022 and 2023, it remains at just over 40% of the peak in 2015.
