Overview of Central and Eastern Europe’s 2024 Automobile Market
Automobile sales in Central and Eastern Europe (20 countries*¹) increased by 16.4% year-on-year to 4,938,196 units in 2024, the highest in the past 11 years. The significant growth in the largest market, Russia (up 39.2% to 1.83 million units), and the strong performance of Türkiye (up 0.1% to 1.27 million units) drove the overall market. The proportion of sales in Russia and Türkiye to the entire market increased by 1.9 percentage points to 62.8%. In addition, countries with a sizeable sales scale, such as Poland (up 12.5% to 649,000 units) and Czechia (up 3.2% to 264,000 units), generally showed an increasing trend, which added to the total sales volume.
