Overview of Asia’s EV Charging Infrastructure

This report gives a brief overview of the development status of EV charging infrastructure and relevant policies of nine Asian countries (India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam) as of July 2024. A similar survey was conducted by FOURIN approximately two years ago on May 26, 2022 (see link below). Regarding government policies, an increasing number of countries have adopted “mandatory provision of charging infrastructure,” which is the most effective measure to support the spread of EV use.
