Asian Motorcycle Sales Surged to Record 36 Million Units in 2025

In 2025, motorcycle sales across nine Asian countries (this report covers India, Pakistan, six ASEAN countries [Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore] and Taiwan) reached a record high of 35.97 million units, an increase of 2.03 million units (6.0%) over the previous year, surpassing the 2018 record of 35.94 million units by 30,000 units. While sales in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Taiwan fell below previous-year levels, a significant surge in demand in India and Pakistan drove the overall market growth.
