Pakistan’s Automobile Sales in H1 2026

Sales of locally assembled vehicles in Pakistan (PAMA members only) reached 123,000 units in the first half of 2026, marking a 35.2% increase year-on-year. Following the trend from 2025, aggressive policy rate cuts significantly drove this market recovery. Auto financing experienced a strong resurgence, particularly between January and April 2026, when interest rates hovered around a four-year low of approximately 10%. If sales maintain this momentum through the second half of the year, annual volumes could surpass the post-pandemic peak of 243,000 units recorded in 2021.
