Mazda Motor’s Global Production Capacity of Automobiles

Mazda Motor's 2021 global factory utilization rate fell 5.1pp year-on-year to 55.7%. Production volume in Japan decreased only slightly compared to the previous year, thanks to declining impact of COVID-19. However, production significantly decreased in countries where the pandemic reemerged, mainly in China and Southeast Asia. The overall factory utilization rate declined due to the stagnation of logistics and the global shortage of semiconductors.
