Thailand’s Ownership Volume of Motor Vehicles

Thailand’s ownership volume of automobiles was 20,328,142 units as of the end of 2022, surpassing the 20-million- unit level. Compared to the end of the previous year, the increase was around 612,000 units; however, it was still below the yearly increase of 600,000-800,000 units in the latter half of the 2010s. The ownership volume of motorcycles reached 22,280,735 units.

Passenger vehicles rose to 11,34 million units, microbuses / passenger vans to 446,000 units, vans / pickup trucks to 7.08 million units and trucks to 1.22 million units. In contrast, buses continued to decrease, dropping down to 133,000 units.
