Uzbekistan’s Automobile Market in 2024
In 2024, Uzbekistan’s automobile production increased by 0.8% from the previous year to 429,269 units, setting a record high for the third consecutive year. The increase was supported by local automaker ADM Jizzakh, which started production of the Kia Sonet in March 2024. Uzbekistan’s largest OEM, UzAuto Motors, saw a decline of 3.6% year-on-year to 396,700 units. Although the automaker launched production of two BYD models in June 2024, adding 4,004 units to its annual total, it has gradually reduced production of the Chevrolet Lacetti since January 2024, full-year production dropping by 84.4% compared to the previous year. In addition, Uzavtosanoat, which produces commercial vehicles, saw a 4.5% decline in 2024.
