South Korea’s Export Results of Automobiles in 2022

South Korea's automobile exports (CBU exports only) increased by 12.7% year-on-year to 2,300,333 units in 2022. Led by Hyundai Motor, which accounted for 40% of all exports, all automakers increased exports compared to the previous year. SUVs and electric vehicles realized record high levels in 2022, pushing up overall export results. In terms of value, automobile exports went up 17.8% to 48.94 billion USD, reaching an historic high level.
