India’s Automobile Exports in 2025

India's completely built-up vehicle exports in 2025 grew 17.0% year-on-year to 955,000 units, hitting a record high for the first time in nine years. Passenger vehicles rose 16.0% to 863,000 units, marking a record high for the second consecutive year. Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Nissan drove this expansion. These manufacturers scaled up exports of sub-4.0 m compact vehicles, primarily targeting South Africa.
