Thailand’s Automobile Sales by Segment in 2022

Automobile sales in Thailand increased by 14.7% year-on-year to 842,844 units in 2022, surpassing the 80% level of pre-corona 2019. By vehicle type, sales of passenger cars increased 6.3% year-on-year, SUV sales went up 26.6%, setting a record high, and MPV sales rose 45.8%. In the light commercial vehicle category, the sales of one-truck pickup trucks, Thailand’s largest segment, expanded 13.4% to 390,924 units.
