Automobile sales in Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) in 2024 increased less than 400 units to 1,366,111 units, marking a record high for the second consecutive year. Australia (up 1.7% to 1,237,287 units) achieved a historic high for the second consecutive year, driven by strong HEV sales, pushing up the overall market size. New Zealand (down 13.5% to 128,824 units), on the other hand, saw its market size decline by a double-digit percentage due to factors like the end of subsidy programs designed to promote the purchase of low-emission vehicles.
