India’s Ownership Volume of Motor Vehicles

India’s latest government figures on vehicle ownership were released in June 2019. According to official data, the country’s automobile fleet stood at 54 million units and motorcycle parc at 221 million units. FOURIN estimates that ownership volume of automobiles and motorcycles were around 64 million units and 300 million units respectively as of the end of 2022.
