Japan’s Automobile Sales in H1 2025

Japan’s automobile sales in the first half of 2025 increased by 10.2% from the same period of 2024 to 2,345,459 units. Compared with the same period last year, when there was an insufficient supply of vehicles due to certification fraud at Daihatsu among other automakers, the first six months of 2025 saw the first increase in two years thanks to supply recovery.
