Honda Motor’s Automobile Sales in ASEAN in H1 2025

In November 2025, Honda revised its full-year automobile sales forecast for fiscal 2025 downward from an initial 3.62 million units to 3.34 million units. Sales in North America, Honda’s largest market, have been revised downward from 1.68 million units to 1.57 million units due to the suspension of operations at some factories in October 2025 resulting from a shortage of semiconductor supplies. Sales in Asia (including China), which is Honda’s second largest market, were revised downward from 1.09 million units to 925,000 units. The main reason for the decline is thought to be Honda’s sluggish performance in China, but in recent years, sales have also been shrinking noticeably in the five ASEAN countries covered by this report (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines).
