Thailand’s vehicle sales decreased 4.2% year-on-year to 759,119 units in 2021. Sales dropped due to corona lockdown in Bangkok and other areas in July and August, and also as a result of insufficient parts supply. Passenger cars (including MPVs) declined 8.4% to 251,800 units and commercial vehicles (including SUVs) fell 1.9% to 507,319 units.
