Overview of Malaysia’s EV Charging Infrastructure

The Malaysian government has set a goal of installing 10,000 electric vehicle charging bays (EVCBs) by 2025; however, as of June 2024, there were only 2,585 EVCBs installed. The project is facing difficulties due to a lack of government support and complicated installation approvals.
