Philippines Motorcycle Market Analysis for H1 2026

Motorcycle Sales in the Philippines (wholesales by the five MDPPA member manufacturers; see table below) plunged to 1.21 million units in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the market subsequently recovered, driven by economic revival, rising demand for personal mobility, and the growth of delivery services and motorcycle taxis. In 2025, motorcycle sales surged 11.3% year-on-year (YoY) to 1.87 million units, breaking the historical record for the first time in six years. The expansion continued into the first half of 2026, with Jan–Jun sales rising 3.6% YoY to 940,000 units.
