Recent Trends of China’s Automobile Exports

China’s automobile exports have been on the rise, becoming the world’s largest automobile exporter in 2023 when it overtook Japan. Automobile exports in the first half of 2024 increased by 26.1% from the same period last year to 2,925,282 units, while full-year exports are expected to reach 6 million units. In most markets, other than North America and Russia, competition between Japanese and Chinese vehicles is intensifying.
